Squarespace templates for sale and how they work so well with new websites.

This year we’ll be using our templates to offer more choice to our clients wanting new website designs as using a template is a much more economical and efficient route to a great design. Redesigning websites using a template can also be an easier quicker route to improve or upgrade a Squarespace website.

The world where the website designer could charge large fees for doing very little has changed - thank Goodness! I have just joined a business network group and replaced the previous designer who was kicked out of the group in December. They ripped off their clients, they didn’t do the work and the poor behaviour wasn’t tolerated any more. With modern platforms like Squarespace there isn’t room in the world for these old style website designers as clients like to own their website and their domains. They also like to have control over their websites and be able to work on them themselves. Even quite large companies like the control they can now have.

With the new websites we build for clients the biggest challenge is never the content ie the images and the text needed. The biggest challenge is getting a design the client likes. We always ask the client what websites they like and what layouts they’ve seen that they like. So often in the past clients would say “Can you show us some designs to get us started?” We started building templates so we could get them started on a design.

We’ve now refined the process and we’ve built a set of templates for all of our clients to use as a starting point. It works really well and once they choose one of our templates we can customise it further to suit their needs exactly.

We also sell our templates to clients who are confident enough to populate them and connect them themselves. They are £125.00

It is also cheaper for a client to start by using a template. A new website these days will cost around £1000.00 Several years ago the same website without starting with a template would cost closer to £4500.00 It’s easier and more efficient for us to deliver a quality product and service because the design process at the start is so much further down the line.

Many clients of ours have Squarespace websites that need re-designing or improving. We find that using a template is a great tool to help with re-designing a website.
