Don’t pay for a Squarespace website template built on Canva!

Many of the big U.S. template suppliers build their Squarespace website templates on Canva which means you need to pay for an additional Canva membership to edit your new template.

Don’t get duped into buying a Squarespace template which wasn’t built on Squarespace.

For many it’s a surprise after paying around USD300.00 that the template you’ve bought isn’t actually a Squarespace website and you need to have a Canva membership to use your new template.

We design all of our Squarespace website templates on the Squarespace platform. We think it’s important that the template you buy from us works as you’d expect as soon as we load it into your Squarespace account. Why should you have to use Canva and pay for a Canva subscription to make your Squarespace website work?

We think this practice is dishonest. Sure, many of the templates you see on the big U.S. template sites are very nice but the Squarespace user looking for a new template will be disappointed to find that what they paid for wasn’t built on Squarespace and they need additional software to make them work because they were built using Canva.

The Big Cat is out of the bag and it’s worth protecting our lovely U.K. customers from being duped. $2-300 is a lot to spend on a so called Squarespace template that wasn’t built on Squarespace.

There are a few U.S. template sites that are reputable and build their templates on the Squarespace platform but there are a couple of the larger flashier websites that use Canva to build what isn’t a Squarespace website.
